Every fall we celebrate the end of summer and the coming autumn with our Equinox Celebration. Family-friendly, kids encouraged, and everyone is invited, including you!
This year, September 23, 2017, (Rain date: September 30), we’ll be hosting everyone in our center circle starting at 5 p.m., and lasting until about 9 p.m. Bring a dish to pass and your own place settings, and join our potluck dinner to enjoy the evening with community and friends.
- Live music! Including local musician Travis Knapp and our own Mike Early.
- Kids activities, run by Primitive Pursuits instructor Melissa Blake.
- A cider press! Press your own cider. We have apples growing here at White Hawk, and you can bring your own, if you like.
- Lawn games.
- A friction fire-making demonstration is planned.
It’s just a good time, so please, come celebrate.
It’s totally free, and no RSVP is necessary. (Although we’d love it if you let us know on our Facebook event, just so we have an idea of how many are coming.) Just come up our drive, park in the lot at the top of the hill, and walk a short distance into our center circle.
General Membership Meetings
Unless otherwise noted, White Hawk Ecovillage general meetings occur on the second Sunday of each month, 3:00-5:30pm, typically at one of our residents’ homes. These dates occasionally change due to other conflicts, so please contact us if you’d like to come to a meeting to confirm whether we’ll in fact be gathering that day. We look forward to meeting you!
