Come Visit!

Come visit White Hawk EcovillageWe warmly invite you to visit our village! If you are interested in exploring the process of living here and becoming a member, please start by filling in our “interest list” here. We will be in touch within two or three weeks and will go from there in terms of discussing if we are a good fit, visiting, and the membership process.

If you are in the area or passing through and would like to visit, please reach out. We schedule regular tours, usually once a month, but depending on our availability, one-off tours may also be possible. You can email us at outreach@whitehawk.org or you can call 607-330-2609. We are a community of full-time residents with many families and children.  We love visitors and we also humbly ask you to respect our privacy and homelife by not showing up unannounced. If you do, you will be accosted by roaming groups of children who will demand to know who you are and why you are here 🙂

You can also join our mailing list using the form at the bottom right. We use that list less frequently though, and mostly for communication about general information and our yearly public event during the fall equinox.  Our general meetings are typically on the second Sunday of each month, 3:00-5:30pm. It is also possible to join these meetings, though we prefer to have had an interaction with you prior to such. The meetings are hybrid for convenience sake, so it is possible and encouraged for folks who are unable to join us in person to join via Zoom. They offer a good window into how our consensus process goes and as well as a general sense of what’s currently going on in the community.

Overnight accommodations at White Hawk are sometimes available in residents’ homes. When we can’t host visitors, camping is generally an option if that suits your fancy, or there’s a host of nearby options to choose from, depending on your tastes: The Wild Goose and Frog’s Way BnB’s (at EcoVillage at Ithaca); nearby resort La Tourelle, and many others nearby through Air BNB, hotels and other local options.

To discuss visiting, please email us at outreach@whitehawk.org.
